rescues
One vital aspect of Queen Hive Farm is our commitment to our horses. When looking for new trail prospects, we focus on older horses in need of rescue from slaughterhouse and auction situations.
The trail
Our trail is approximately 45 minutes long; half woods and half fields. We frequently see Eastern bluebirds, white-tailed deer and even the occasional wild turkey.
Farm animals
Our farm also boasts registered Nigerian dwarf goats, Shetland sheep, heritage turkeys, chickens, ducks, miniature horses, and much more. Visitors enjoy checking out the many friendly creatures here at Queen Hive Farm.
BOARDING
Queen Hive Farm offers long-term and short-term boarding. Every fall, multiple riders bring their horses to the farm, so they can ride on Assateague beach, knocking out a bucket-list item for most of them.
